Route the question correctly

Contact Videojet laser marking specialists

Send enough process context for the receiving team to distinguish application selection, technical support, and integration work. No location, telephone number, response time, or regional office claim is invented on this site; the submitted brief is routed through the platform contact service.

01

New application

Use this route for a new substrate, code, line, or capacity change. Attach representative samples and state the final artwork, smallest required feature, nominal and peak line speed, marking window, product pitch, available installation envelope, and acceptance method.

A recommendation remains conditional until sample results, selected-model documentation, cell interfaces, and the site acceptance plan agree.

02

Existing process support

Provide the equipment reference, controlled recipe, exact symptom or alarm, first occurrence, material lot, speed, focus datum, inspection result, safe-state status, and recent material, maintenance, controls, network, or artwork changes.

Do not defeat an interlock or bypass inspection while collecting evidence. Safety, electrical, ventilation, and regulated-quality decisions remain with authorized site personnel.

03

Integration review

Share a line drawing or clear photographs together with product motion, trigger and encoder plan, PLC interface, message source, inspection feedback, reject logic, enclosure, extraction, cooling, utilities, and maintenance access.

The review should identify responsibility boundaries among production, controls, safety, quality, maintenance, integrator, and equipment supplier before factory acceptance.

What makes a useful brief?

A useful brief describes one actual operating condition and one measurable pass rule. “Need a high-speed laser” is too broad; “mark this coated film with a 14-character code at the stated web speed without pinholing, then pass the agreed camera grade after rub exposure” creates a testable question.

If facts are unavailable, label them as unknown. A missing material grade, coating chemistry, inspection threshold, or installation dimension is safer as an open action than as a guessed value embedded in a quotation.

Submit the application evidence

For sample testing, identify each sample by material and lot. For a fault, include both a known-good and failed mark when available. For integration, note which interfaces are fixed and which remain negotiable.

  • Material, geometry, and surface condition
  • Code content, size, and readability rule
  • Nominal and worst-case speed
  • Downstream exposure or durability test
  • Guarding, extraction, utilities, and controls
